FEVE, the line will be relatively short and will take 14 months to construct according to city officials. The Dominican federal government will not provide construction funds. It will end at the Cibao International Airport some kilometers away from the city center. Construction is planned to begin in August 2007 in rail transport. The Project though, as of today is on hold because sufficient studies about the benefits of this system still have to been done. It is reported that as soon as this study is done work will begin..
The train stations have not been officially announced, though it is reported that here will be twelve, including the Heroes of Restoration monument in the city centre, Independencia Avenue, Circunvalation Avenue, and ending at the Cibao International Airport.
